Background

Alibaba.com’s Elite Partner Event (EPE) is a monthly event designed to help buyers seeking OEM/ODM find quality suppliers more efficiently. Each month, a group of global suppliers who have either quality products powered by innovative technologies or have established their own brands participate in EPE.

One of our strategies to drive web traffic and gain exposure for EPE Suppliers was splash ads on Alibaba app. Splash ads are a type of streaming advertising — currently the most popular form of online advertising. Appears on screen for three to five seconds when an app is launched. I came up with a range of impactful splash ads with enticing slogans to encourage the audience to click on the ads. Splash ads are touchpoints that drive traffic to the merchant pages, to tie in the merchants for a cohesive marketing event.
